The weather is cooling more every day. More and more jackets are being worn and windows are open and welcoming cooler temps throughout the day.  Fall is a pleasant experience.

My main focus is getting my Wi-Fi turned on. And getting in my walking! So down the hill I trudge. Taking in my surroundings and familiar places. Cars are parking heavily in the main piazza. The work to restore the street will start soon. A much needed project for sure. The south entrance to the village is fine til it arrives at the main piazza.  The main road out to the west of the piazza will be taken up and new stone laid. It will make a huge difference to the residents. Many are older and sporadic asphalt filled holes are unsightly and quite dangerous for walkers and bikers. It may engender a new cadre of buyers for the palaces (entire buildings) and the numerous apartments that are for sale. Real estate here is a very good investment compared to many other locations. The train station is renowned for its size and large number of trains.

I first have a hair cut then back home to get my umbrella just in case. What do I find? Flowers and planters/pots are missing from my outside!! What the hey?  Could it be my neighbor?? No time to investigate, I have to go to my local TIM store and get my Wi-Fi turned on. Coming back home, I realize I should simply ask my neighbor what happened? If she saw anyone, etc. Except now I see the planters are on her upper window ledges! You can see how barren my front outside is in the photo.

I decided to take a much-needed nap, and I can still hear him speaking to her loudly and harshly, and she’s responding. I will give her a little bit of a cooling off period and then offer gratefulness in attitude. And demeanor. After all, we are neighbors. And of course a heart felt ‘thank you’. I will be a good friend to her.

After a deep nap, I’m almost caught up on my jet lag, I walk down the mountain again to the TIM store.  Eventually my Wi-Fi will be on! Back up the mountain and I check out the huge vat of wine in Simone’s deli. It’s bianco (white) so I bought a $5 dollar bottle of local merlot, some famous fresh Italian bread and a small jar of my favorite pasta sauce – Arribiata, and enjoy the evening heading home. Yes I can make my own sauce but the Italian brand looked so good! And it is.

Italian bread has no salt or sugar. And comes un-sliced in an oblong rounded form. I buy a small piece as once you get used to the taste, it is marvelous!

I found out I’m in an HOA!! A bill for €9. Annually! But no, it is monthly. Okay. And Monday I check on my IMU (property tax). Unknown amount…wish me luck!!

I walked 3.7 miles today. My goal is 5 miles a day.  Building up my endurance from inactivity in AZ.  And relearning how to go up the steps and not look like an idiot!?

Note: all the smaller rocks are placed in the pots and planters that are on the ground. The thought is that the local cats will not use the planters/pots as a bathroom. A good thought, seems to work most of the time.

Buona Notte. ???
